    Hi everyone Bea here .
Can any one help i have 2 male Chinchillas both brothers and one of them looks like he is not happy at all he has been chewing at his fur or its falling out if i can get a pic i will show you what i mean .
I am really worried as we have had them some time and we let them have the run of our bedroom but they have not as such settled with us they wont come to us .
They are really friendly little fellas and i think they are not happy with us .
Why i am not sure everynight when i get changed for bed i sit and talk to them and let them get used to my voice and to me .
But its not working i can feed them as they do take food out of my fingers but nothing else they wont come to me or michael when they are out of the cage .
Can anyone help me do i need to take george to the vet ?
    Love a very worried Bea

I know nothing about them, but both Carol and Lyn probably will, and Muddiwarx may do as well, hope they get better soon.

I would have a vet have a look - the fur loss may well be mites or lice which can be cause by stress, or is one nibbling the other?? (Barbering) This can also be caused by stress or boredom or it can just be a bad habit.

Have they got hammocks and plenty of toys to destroy?

A lot of chins can be very timid when out of the cage - how long have you had them and what was their history before?

I love them but am so incredibly allergic I will never be able to have one Sad
