Although uniform litters (such as Lona and Storm's and of course Totsi and Harrison's) is the ideal, I personally love the fact that there can be such a range of colours, coats and types in the one litter and I actually prefer it, I got a little bit of everything I think in the Cariad/Storm litter Very Happy Very Happy

I do know what you mean Rob, despite the fact that I had chose Cariad from a piccie, I was still given the choice between Cariad and Miakoda and I picked Cariad partly because she had attitude and partly because I like the chunkier ones. The finer bone comes through from the Redkite lines from their father Redkite Anzarra, although he is not particularly fine boned in my opinion. However Lyn can give you the complete lowdown on the different types far better than I ever can Very Happy You can like you say really see the difference, as Lyn says in another thread, there is a haulier type and a lighter boned type (forgot what she called it)

lol june, its the same with setters two distinct lines, reddins, which our prince ethan comes from is a lot slimmer and athletic, whereas there is another major line, fearnley which is the thicker chunkier boned beefy dogs

Nikki sent me a link to Mikes Photobucket but I can't make them smaller on it like you can if they were on your own photobucket, so think I am going to have to copy them onto my desktop, then into my photobucket and make them smaller, only way I can think of doing it, unless anyone else has input on what to do confused confused confused

Also Storm's daddy was Redkite line, I didn't want them to look like we were going back to Mals, even though I like the look and type of the chunkier rough coated ones, I wanted to try and keep the size but get them a bit more leggy looking, obviously not going to achieve that one overnight, but if I just get a couple from each litter with the look I have in my head I will be happy, because that means I am moving forward and not going into reverse. Tote Tims Dreamcatcher was 32" at the shoulder so I have a long climb ahead of me, will be interesting to see how tall Maska is in the end,we have about a 3 year wait to see how he comes out Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

There are 60 odd piccies Rob, the easiest is for them to send me the link Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy some of them are several versions of the same shot. Will get there, am jiggered after spending what seems like hours on the river, wading in it to get the ball that they have all of a sudden decided they don't like Very Happy Very Happy

Well Tai is a grandson of Tim and Hanuka by their son Shanaska (Sulin Ice) however his mother is Chanoni and her parents are Thor and Digit, I never met Thor but I did meet Digit, who was bred by Eddy, and she was really tiny, my Tawney was also a lot smaller than the modern day Utonagan, I was astonished the first time I took Tawney to a Utonagan Show, they were all giants compared to her. Chanoni was apparently similar in looks to a mix of Cariad and Digit. Hal was also bred by Eddy and he was quite a bit smaller than the modern day Utonagan which has in the main been bred and influenced by Lyn and her Sulin line, I remember when Nikki and Mike brought Hal over to put him to Cariad I asked if I should get him a box to stand on!!!! Chanoni's litter brother is Bleddyn who is my girl's grandad and Maska's great grandad, he is still going strong and runs about 30 miles a week still as his owner is a keen runner. Is that of any help to you Very Happy You need to draw up a chart really I think Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
