Dorset Show

9-10th May
Wimborne, Dorset BH21 7JZ

9th and 10th May 2009 The Cross keys Pub, Mannington, Holt Heath, Wimborne, BH21 7JZ. This will be the third show held here. It’s a lovely venue with access to great walks on the moors and forests We hope as many as possible can join us there and enjoy the fun.

Saturday 9th May

Funday and Workshops
Ringcraft Workshop 10 am - 12-00
A fun training session for Novice & first time Handlers. You will have a chance to brush up on showing skills. Session will end with a competition where the handler will be judged not the dogs! Rosettes to 5th place!
Break for Lunch
Superdog starts at 1- 00 pm
(Open to all breeds)
Is your dog a Superdog ?

Rosettes 1st to 5th place for each challenge and a trophy for the ultimate Superdog.
For £1 Dogs can have 3 attempts at each challenge against the clock

Fastest Weave

Egg and Spoon

Agility Run

Fancy dress Race

Fastest Treat Eater

TIDA Member £1-50 first entry and £1.00for subsequent entries with the same dog - so don’t forget your membership card.
Non Members £2.00 first entry, subsequent entries £1.50.

Limited Breed Classes —- Ring 1


Northern Inuit Classes — Judge : Katy Spicer

Rosettes 1st to 5th place — Trophy for Best Puppy, BIS and RBIS

1. Puppy Parade- 3 to 6 months—all pups to receive a special rosette.
2. Puppy 6-12 months.
3. Yearling-- 12-24 months.
4. Novice –All dogs 12 months and over – no age limit.
Only one first place rosette is allowed in this class then the dog cannot be entered in it again at future shows starting with this showThis will give everyone with pet dogs a chance of winning
5. Intermediate-- any dog 12 months and over. Open to all dogs including studs and breeding bitches.
6. Open Bitch—any bitch spayed or entire but NO breeding bitches.
7. Open Dog---any dog neutered or entire but NO stud dogs
8. Best Stud Dog
9. Best Brood Bitch.
10. Best N.I.Rescue – dog or bitch

Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show will now be judged

Utonagan Breed Classes — Judge: to be confirmed

Rosettes 1st to 5th place — Trophy for BIS and RBIS

1. Puppy 6—12 months
2. Yearling 12—24 months
3. Novice—12 months and over
4. Open dog— ( male and Female ) entire or neuterd

Best in Show and Reserve Best in show will now be judged

BREAK FOR LUNCH

Companion Dog Show Classes —- Ring 2

Pedigree Classes — Judge : Malcolm Hewitt

Rosettes to 5th place — Trophy for BIS and RBIS
1 .A.V. Puppy-6 to 12 months
2. A. V. Sporting
3. A. V. Non Sporting
4. Best Veteran – age 7 and over
5. Best pedigree dog
6. Best pedigree bitch
7. Open dog--- any dog or bitch
8. Junior Handler – judged on handlers performance
9. Senior Handler -- judged on handlers performance

Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show will now be judged

BREAK FOR LUNCH

Novelty Classes — Judges : Jessica Boyse & Toni Seraphin

Rosettes 1st to 5th place — Trophy for B. Nov. And R.B. Novelty

1. Prettiest bitch
2. Most handsome dog
3. Irish brace—two most unalike dogs
4. Best Veteran- --7 years and over
5. Best Rescue
6. Most appealing eyes
7. Best Companion dog or bitch—please bring reg. number
8. Fancy dress
9. Best Crossbreed dog or bitch
10. Family class - Two or more dogs who live together.

Just had a look at it on routemaster, and it is do-able. Have 'mentioned' it to Wayne, so will see if I can get down there, will also be 'mentioning' it to Leon as well, will do my best, thats all I can do.

oh what a lovely show not just that we won but a lovely place to have it right next to the pub Smile Smile
everyone was great the dogs had a great time saying hello shadow thought it was so fun all these dogs and people to say hello to.

mia won her class merlin won his shadow got a 3rd and the judge said when her ears come up she going to be lovely girlie, mia won best in show and merlin reserve.

litma and mia won best irish brace, and along with varyous other classes seconds and thirds, they love shadow eyes in pretty eyes got a 2nd and said she really had the most wolf like eyes. that wasnt a class

but a really great day then popped in my sisters who her hubby wants to kidnap merlin, shadow and shelia wants to kidnap mia basically they loved them, and they had great fun playing with their dogs and chasing each other round.

Am gutted I couldn't make it, but things being as they are it isn't possible Sad Sad Sad
Would love to have seen you all again, hopefully will be able to see you at a Show later on in the summer.
