SOOLEAWA is a cutie....CHEVEYO looks like a bully boy or girl. Glad the babies all have new homes....What do the names mean....?? They sounds almost South African but I'm sure they are not! Great names and great pups...Smile

If all 4 are sold...does that mean you have decided against keeping one???

Laughing Joce Laughing no I am keeping Keshini!! You are right though, she is down as sold, but then again she must be THE most Expensive Puppy ever!!! By the time I have taken out the £190 in diesel it took to go there and back, stud fee, Canine Herpes Vax twice, scan costs and then of course vet fees every day for nearly a week with Cariad not being well, not to mention the litter eye scan, microchipping, vet check and first vax......if I paid myself by the hour, I would definitely be in the red Laughing Laughing

Cheveyois a boy and it means Spirit Warrior
Dyami is a boy and it means Eagle
Sooleawa is a girl and it means silver
Keshini is a girl and means one with beautiful hair

They are all Native American names. Mohawk is because Jay Silverheels (who played Tonto in the Lone Ranger) was the son of a Mohawk chief.

Not a good litter financially then but with only 4 pups...I guess it would be hard to cover the costs with Cariad being unwell also
Good luck with your pup with the beautiful hair.

I guess you must feel younger than I do June to have Mabs and now Keshini...I don't think I would want to take on a pup now. If Mia had been really ill, I had decided to look for a rescue dog as a friend for Maska. Not sure what kind of dog as Maska and Mia play rough by other standards...a gsd maybe???!! Good news was that Mia was not that ill, so , hopefully, she will be Maska's best mate for a while yet. They really are a match made in heaven...they compliment each other perfectly.......two very different dogs that just gel. Guess Carol and Lyn knew that.........

I've been very lucky with my other litters, and you have to expect that things will go wrong,I always have enough money for an emergency caesarean and spay put on one side before I have a litter, so I did have the vets bills covered, and Cariad will be spayed as soon as it can be done as there is a risk now of her getting infections or pyometra. I have loved having a small litter, you get to know them more as individuals and also their little personalities come out quicker as there is no real sibling rivalry for attention.

Oh..so she has to be spayed now? I had Mia spayed last year and the vet said it would protect her against some things but she was too old for it to protect her against other things. So Caraid is at more risk of pyometra now?? Is that because of this litter and the problems she had?? You have an all female household so she would not have more pups now. Guess that does not matter??I don't think I would like to breed dogs...too complicated!

She was quite poorly Joce, although she did pull through amazingly well, she would be at risk of the infection recurring, I was thinking about it anyway as she was never going to have another litter after this one. Had a good talk with the vet about it and that was his advice. She is in wonderful condition and her coat is really shiny and soft. I have been very lucky with both of the girls and they deserve their well earned retirement.

Interesting...I had Mia spayed but was not totally sure it was the right thing to do . The vet said many of the benefits of spaying would not count at her age.. Ah well...the girls have done you proud...hope the little lady recovers quickly from the op...Smile

It won't be well into the New Year when the babies have left, apart from My Little Girl that is. I could have sold her several times as well, had a lot of enquiries about them

Laughing Laughing Laughing Nikki Laughing Laughing Laughing No Panic, she was poorly after the birth as she retained some stuff inside her and by the time it was out she had an infection, she is right as rain now, the first 5 days was a worrying time, but all is well.
