    St Bernard Empty St Bernard

    Post by mara64 Tue Nov 16, 2010 6:05 am

I have just had a phone call from my friend who has asked me if I could help him find a new home for a lovely big St Bernard boy. He is 4 years old and has no issues at all. Just a big soft lump. Gets on great with other dogs, big and small and loves people.
I dont have a photo of him yet though, but the owners just dont want him anymore. If we had the space we would take him in a minute but.......
Can anyone help me, if you know anyone who might be interested.

I have a friend who is a big St Bernard fan but she felt they were getting too much for her so she rehomed her last 2 boys some time ago, however she may well know of someone who would be able to give him the right home. Poor boy, fancy just not wanting him anymore, that is so sad Sad Sad

Spoke to my friend and they know of some people who may just take him, they already have St Bernards, can you pm me his lines and if he is rough or smooth coated. Then they will see if these people would be interested or if they can find someone else for him

My friend called me today to tell me that the man wanting his St Bernard rehoming has gave him back to his breeder. Not that this bothers me as at least he is back with someone who cares and knows about the breed, what bothers me is that he done it 3 days ago and didnt even have the decency to phone us and let us know what he was doing.
we have been doing a lot of phoning etc ans posting on here to see if we could find this lovely boy a forever home. now we feel like right prunes.... GRRRRRR
BUT I HOPE UTAH FINDS A FOREVER HOME WITH SOMEONE WHO DOESNT TOSS HIM ASIDE AS SOON AS HE HAS GOT TIRED OF HIM

My friend said there was a very reputable St Bernard breeder in Scotland and she thought he may be from them. Geri is able to offer Utah a lovely home and she is experienced with Shepherds having done a lot of rescue work, so he has found a really wonderful family.

If you can get the breeder's details and pm them to me I will ask my friend if it is the same people she knows. She was saying to me it was a good job he is a boy, if he had been a girl she would have been very tempted indeed!!!!
I know what you mean about them never even letting you know what happened, it is a real pain when people do that, you fly around like a looney trying to get something in place for them and you either never hear from them again, or after a lot of frantic unanswered phone calls when you finally get them they casually say 'oh he/she has a home now' grrrrrr Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad
