Hi guy's thought I'd put it here for all to see instead of it going around the houses, those of you who know me will know what I mean lol xx Least then the info has come from the horses mouth so to speak
Some of you will already know that I have Lee's dog Honni ( as we call him ), he came to me subject to him settling in. I can officially now say that he has, it does not surprise me seen as he is just a smaller shaggy er clone of his ggg grandad Tim/Timber, he is also just as laid back and cuddly. He is already one and part of the family. Thank you Lee for letting me have him. XX
For those of you outside of T.U.B.R Honni's hips are GOOD and he SHALL be having his eye's done. Honni is registered with NIS, TIDA and TTDA at this present time. Oh! and yes Honni's father is the infamous KATO .

As you know I fell for Honni in a very Big Way when I first saw him, I was ecstatic when I found it his breeding as it meant that I could use him with Lona, then I found out that TIDA didn't do eye testing, as we do, as a matter of couurse, so I had to shelve the idea, fingers crossed for the eye test Lyn
He is a beautiful big gentle boy and I will never forget my first sight of him, my jaw dropped

Like I said Honni is special to me because of my Tim and Hanuka, right down to Tim's mannerisms and I will get his eye's done if only to put it to rest just as I will hip score and eye test Icer for the same reasons. For me it is not just a test/s to be done for breeding but to help ( where ever possible ) insure what has already been bred is of a good health standard ( this I think is the most important reason for doing them ).
Eye tests June are not compulsory in many KC breeds and happens to be voluntary within T.I.D.A. This I understood and excepted when Honni and the pup came to me and I really do not mind doing the tests myself especially as they go back to my lines.

Lets just say he was another one blamed for throwing a pup with bad hips, guess what ? yep! he goes back to ?? so it must be who's fault ?? xx

Ps forgot to say , no I did not breed Kato nor his dad Mihinahk but I did breed Mihinahk's dad Ice/Shanaska and he was out of Tim and Hanukah.

As regards the pup with bad hips that Kato fathered.......yes it was a dreadful thing to happen, but no one bothered to enquire further as to the siblings of that puppy, none of the other pups in that litter had bad hip results as far as I can gather. Now GSD and Lab breeders (to name but 2 of the breeds with HD problems) have been trying their utmost for a lot longer than we have to eradicate HD from their breed, they have dogs with 0;0 results, yet still every so often you will get a pup with HD, it goes with the gene for height apparently. So it will happen within our breed as well, we will get a throw back, and then the knives will come out and the scaremongering campaigns will begin all over again. I think Lyn is to be commended for the way she has fought her way to these low scores we are now getting and that other breeders are riding on the back of, she did something positive about it and the breed itself is benefitting positively from the actions she took a couple of generations ago.

Don't you think it is such a crying shame that a happy thread cannot be put up ( in my case ) without having made sure that I have included or covered near everything to do with it. You can bet if I hadn't someone would have.
On a good note though, I have found out that Honni loves the water He loves his walks, playing with sticks and balls, is an excellent and patient father and loves his raw food. All in all I'm a happy bunny. XX
