Just read that June gives the dogs Vit E .

I feed Natural Instincts to the dogs and vit E is not mentioned in that. They also get bran with their meals, so I guess that should provide them with some vit E????? They have natural probiotic yoghurt. Cottage cheese twice a week when they get their fish

Should I give a daily supplement too?? How many of you do that??

Been reading about dogs and Vit E and it seems it should be something called alpha tocopherol...said to be a better kind and also to avoid cheap forms as they can have too much vit A. Always complicated....Sad

Just interested to know what you folk do and if I should be adding more to their diet??

I give vit E, evening primrose, garlic and seaweed, to mine 5 days out of 7. Kira has other vits because of her epilepsy, milk thistle and St johns wort, again 5 days out of 7. They also have red meats poultry, fish, cottage cheese ( that they love!) yoghurt and fruit and veg, lol they eat better than I do!

I get the human grade vits as I find ones just for dogs cost almost twice as much! I don't think I'm giving them too much because if I run out of one and they don't have it for a week or so, I can see the difference in thier coats.

I'm not very techy, and although I do try to read up about them it all goes over my head! lol, so I just work with what I see. Smile

I give Vitamin E, Evening Primrose, Garlic, B Complex and Omega 3, I used to give Salmon Oil, but got it through ebay, and I forgot to order it, etc.

The recommendations that I gave June when she first bought the two girls from me was based on a do it yourself raw diet however Joce you feed natural instincts and that is a complete food and is ideal for the novice or those with a busy life style as it has been all worked for you.
