    Hi lads

If ye ever come on a doggie holiday to Kerry ye should check out Ballyseedy woods. Its the nicest walk around the dogs love it especially if its hot as there is a stream for them to cool down in and the smell of garlic in the air. Its a really old forest and if I can manage to get some photos later I will post them for you to see. Its lovely place to walk the dogs.

This sounds brilliant Ciara, would you mind putting a post about it in the nice walks section? I really do enjoy walking in heavily wooded areas, theres something about it that takes you away from the mess of towns and cities we're stuck in nowadays

Suppose I better take Carol and a couple of the critters to Ireland then?

I have family in Co. Cavan, Co. Mayo and Co. Donegal.

Mayo and Donegal have lovely beaches whilst Cavan has an abundance of lochs/lakes, one being at the bottom of my aunts garden. Smile

No, the ferries are not particularly pet friendly. The dogs have to stay down on the car deck in the car, although I am told some ferries have special kennels, again below decks. I know it is very far fetched and extremely unlikely, but I could not bear to think of Tai trapped down there if there was an accident and we had to abandon ship. Apart from that, dogs must be terrified down there all alone - you are not allowed to stay with your dog, and they are not allowed on deck or in the passenger areas. I believe the fast hydrofoils do take dogs also, and the journey is only about a couple of hours or so, so I suppose that would be an option, but Tai would still be devastated separated from us like that, and it must be terribly hot down there and I just could not do it to him.

Does anybody know of any passenger line with better choices because I would love to take Tai over to Ireland?
