Just come back from a long weekend in Norfolk, and can highly recommend 3 sandy beaches in North Norfolk - Old Hunstanton, Overstrand and Munderley (or Mundersley, can't remember which). All dog friendly, all fab. Old Hunstanton is probably the best because it faces to the west rather than the east and the water is therefore very calm. We took the two wolves and the Chihuahua, and all 3 had a fab time. Ben is totally disobedient and so is Gucci (the Chihuahua), so we had to spend a lot of time running like a maniac across the sands to retrieve balls from Ben's jaws, and Gucci kept running away to chat up the girls, but apart from that we have had an amazing time ... despite one stupid woman who brought her heavily on heat bitch onto the beach at Overstrand and then got extremely fluffy because Tai and Gucci, who are both entire, had just one thing on their mind as she hove into view !! Even Ben was very excited, it was actually terribly funny as she beat a hasty retreat !! I watched the fun for a minute or two before going to save her.
Then there was the couple who for some strange reason thought they had to scoop up their fat and very over-indulged spaniel into their arms because the boys wanted to say hello. This is just a red rag to a bull as far as Ben is concerned, just like his father before him he thought there must be something terribly wrong and pursued them relentlessly down the beach jumping up and sniffing at the poor little bitch whose only concern was to be allowed to run back into the waves! When they came back, they tried to sneak behind us, but Tai spotted them and went to say hello. I took pity on them and whistled him off!
