NEW HOME NEEDED ASAP WHITE GSD X Whitegsdxrehoming

Beautiful female White GSD X called Zukie

She is 2 years old and excellent with children. very placid in nature. She is owned by the client of a friend (Housing project worker) and currently living in a council flat. The council have informed her owner he can no longer keep her as it is against the rules and he is now seeking a good new home for this lovely lady.

If you know anyone who can help or are interested yourself then please email me

zenadoane_1@hotmail.co.uk with contact details or message me on fb where I can be found via that email address and I will pass your details on to his client.

I know of someone who may foster her, what is she crossed with, is she spayed, whereabouts is she etc.
If it is urgent let me know and I will get in touch with my friend and see what can be arranged, my friend wouldn't be able to drive to collect her if she is outside south Manchester, but maybe we could sort something out with one of my sons if no one else could take her.

she is based on Sheffield and just checking if she is spayed or not now. I have a feeling I remember Alex telling me she was unspayed but double checking for you.

Unsure of what she is crossed with, possibly Husky or Malamute but she takes very much after the GSD side of her parentage.

OK,good thing about the barking because I know there is one neighbour that is a bloody nuisance, none of her dogs are barky (one of them is Lona's daughter) but he persists in saying it is her dogs when in fact it is the pom 2 doors away!!!!
I will give her a ring and see, but I am pretty sure she would have her, we were having a conversation last week when I was over there about the poor GSD crosses that were dumped and she said she would have fostered one and found it a home, as would I and several other people, so as long as she gets on with the others she would most likely take her, she has a couple of neutered males but I know one of the questions she will ask is whether she is speyed.
Just getting her over there now though, she is like me and hates driving on motorways and stays near home, if you can't find anyone who would bring her over I will ask one of my sons if he will pick her up in Norman and see what he says. Might be b.....r off but you can but ask!!!!
I wouldn't be surprised if she was crossed with a sibe because those eyes are slanty aren't they Very Happy Very Happy I would love to know, she is very pretty, what a shame the council are being such shits about her, I bet her owner is distraught

He is, thats why Alex asked if I knew any pet lovers that would take her rather than him risk giving her to a shelter.

Id take her myself but my GSD X is 13 and would be better being introduced to a puppy rather than an adult dog straight away which is why going for one of Lyns lovely boys. Also had already organised wanting one of the puppies and dont really want more than 2 dogs plus 3 cats lol.

Will give her a ring in a bit, she does quite a bit of rescue work, but has slowed down a bit on it with having one of Lona's pups, now that Zillar is a bit older now she was saying she wouldn't mind taking the odd one in again, that's how we got onto the subject of the gsd crosses dumped in the shelter by their breeder. It's just getting her over there now I think, I am pretty sure she'll take her and find her a home, that way she won't touch a shelter.

Great News cheers cheers cheers She will take her in and we will look for a home for her,she has lots of contacts who are dog people so the poor girl will be fine, she is welcome to stay as long as needed as well, so there will be no rush.
We just need to find a way of getting her over this end now..........I am away this weekend, so if you can get in touch with a phone number that I can pass on then we can get things sorted for her, she is a lovely lady and very experienced with large dogs (she used to have St. Bernards)

many thanks. she is being delivered to my home in next 2 days as a temporary home and there is the possibility of a work colleague taking her as he is looking for a GSD type dog. He has a 1 year old son and he was going to get a puppy but I advised him he may be better with a slightly older dog as a puppy would be very boisterous around such a young child and she is known to be good with kids. If my colleague decides this weekend she is not for him then I will be calling the number here kindly provided for me and organising delivery of her.

    Will keep you all updated.

Oh fantastic, sounds like she has a choice of homes, what more could anyone ask Laughing
I was wondering whether one of my sons may take her actually, he is a rep so is in the house a fair bit, and his partner works as a teaching assistant so is home for just gone 3.30, I know he misses having a dog, but doesn't feel he could take on a puppy and I was going to let him know about her, he is due over here today, I am going to tell him about her, then there may also be a third option open to her.

My colleague checking her out in next 2 days at my house and if he decided he would rather have a puppy after all will let you know so your son has first refusal. if not then will be arranging with your friend for her to go there.

For myself next week its time to shop for puppy things Smile Its 8 years since I last had a puppy in the house as my GSD X is 13 and I lost my 4 yr old pointer 4 years ago, giddy thing that she was :/. On the other hand I have 2 x 5mth and 6mth kittens which I have stocked a house full of toys for already and who charge around wrestling and running up and down stairs sounding like a herd of elephants lol.

pics of my other fur babies are now posted in the other pets section.

Just had a chat with Leon about her, and he doesn't think it is the right time for him to take on a dog, there are redundancies at work, and he may just be one of the unlucky ones so like he says he can't take on another responsibility when his own future is in doubt, he has been putting his CV out there for a few weeks now just in case the worst happens. aww I will keep my fingers crossed for him and hope his job is secure. She arrives with me 11 tomorrow morning and my colleague is arriving 11.30-12 to visit with her so hopefully I will know by tomorrow night if she has a home there. if not will leave a message with your friend.

he wants a family dog for himself, wife and 1 yr child. he did want a GSD puppy but i warned him that a young puppy may be too naturally boisterous around such a young child and he is better off with a young mature adult who likes children as she is likely to be more gently around him.

Aw her poor owner. She must be distraught.

Is she happy with other dogs and children? A friend of ours has a rescue white GSD and we have play dates at the beach and since "Polar" has been playing with Dani our friend has been thinking about taking on another rescue dog. He may well be interested in taking her on if nothing comes of your leads June.

update for you all, my colleague really wanted her but his wife is adamant that she wants a puppy despite the risks pointed out to her by myself and him about a 1 yr old child and a puppy accidentally hurting them.

With regards to Zukie she came to my house today so I got a good chance to assess her character. She is very friendly and obedient, sits on command. spent the entire time following me around a little anxious. There were some minor problems with my other dog as he was a little startled to be presented with a full grown female dog twice his size wandering his house. A little half hearted growling (from him not her) while she tried to lick his face and a couple of minor scuffles between them with a lot of noise but no actual biting. She let my 15 yr daughter come in the house when I was not present and greeted her with no problems and she also knows how to open doors as she opened the door to my bedroom, where I had shut my 3 cats while she was there. However they were all still in perfect health when i returned home. She also opened my daughters bedroom where she had been shut out of, was escorted back out, door shut again and she re opened it and promptly sat on my daughters legs, who gave up and let her settle there with her after that.

My house was in one piece as were all animals when i returned but until she has been collected by new owner I have returned her to her present owner as I am out all day tomorrow as had previously arranged a day out with my mum and daughter and had no time to change it and felt it was unfair to her to leave her alone too long.

She is a very strong dog and also capable of jumping on my dining room table where she spent some time sitting when i was sat there having a drink.

Will be ringing the number left for myself on monday to explain the situation and to pass on her owners address and phone number so they can arrange collection between themselves, but having met her myself I can confirm she is a very friendly dog and nice natured, although fairly boisterous and strong.

She likes children and when i brought her in my house she was generally friendly with my other dog. she kept trying to lick his face. there were some minor squabbles while she was here although no actual bites and neither got hurt which were triggered because i put her some biscuits down and while she was eating reckitt stuck his head in her food dish same time and promptly got told off by her for that and for sticking his nose straight into her lady bits. other than that they were wandering the house together and sat next to each other while i ate a bacon sandwhich which i shared with them and they accepted their shares of the sandwhich from me one at a time with no arguments.

shes a big face licker of people as well both myself and when my teenage daughter came home while i was out, she was also greeted and Zukie made it clear she wanted to spend time with her rather than be on her own so opened her bedroom door and sat on the bed with her.

You know, I would much rather have an older dog if given the chance, I have, in the past, taken on older dogs and they have lived their lives out with me with no problems at all, yes there is always a bit of a fracas when you introduce an older dog into an existing pack, but it is usually sorted within a few days and I have never had an occasion where the newcomer has had to go back. I think puppies are extremely hard work for the first year, and I have just had more or less most of Blaidd's first year so can speak from recent experience, with a one year old child, this lady is going to find her work cut out, and I really hope the puppy that she gets doesnt suffer the consequences. No idea if the lady has experience of dogs though, she may be very experienced for all I know and it will be easy peasy for her. Given the chance of a well behaved, reasonably well mannered (jumping on the table or going upstairs to the bedrooms is something that I would not be happy with) dog or a puppy where you are going to have to go to puppy classes and lets face it, toilet train with a baby crawling about, I would be going for the young adult every time!!!!
It looks like, between us all, we are going to be able to find this girl a permanent place, and that can only be good news.

Just spoken to my friend and she hasn't heard from anyone regarding her and would obviously like to know whether she is coming to her or not, as she was saying to me, this time of year she tends to get a lot of phone calls about dogs needing a place and finding a home.
