Forever home wanted for Thunder and Akheira son

An extra special home is required for an absolutely fantastic boy.
Due to a fast decline in his owners health he is just becomming to much for them, they are absolutely distraught about parting with him.
He is the spitting image of his dad (below) black and silver, 20 months old.
House trained, friendly, fed raw, up to date with all innoc. etc.
He need socilisation with both human and canine, where the problem has arose for the family, as now he is to strong when other dogs approach him.
Walks fine on a halti lead, recall fair, lives with one cat, but has always been caged when their grandchildren come in, so he has never had the opertunity of meeting little people, but I am sure he would be fine.
He is fairly boisterous, and jumps up all the time.
I think this covers everything about him, I tried keeping him with me but Thunder and him were not prepared to live together.

He is a stunning boy and hope he finds a forever home soon, will put the word out round here in case there is someone looking for a young adult, you never know

Oh I do hope a forever home is found for him. It must be heart rending for the owners to part with him but understandle.

Don't think a 20 month old male is what I need at the moment but I do hope he finds a good home soon.
It must be so sad for the owners. I can't imagine parting with MASKA but you never know when circumstances will change.

Please folks keep spreading Utahs details, as I had an email from his mum this morning his dad is having real problems with his breathing and going to the Drs. this morning, so trying to walk Utah will be a real problem for them.

I told Byron about him when I was chatting to him on Sunday, also was talking to Jackie last night and told her.
I think its really important that he gets right type of people for him, he needs a lot of work doing on him and someone experienced in training large dogs with 'attitude'

Admin that is the problem he has no attitute, because he doesn't know what he is meant to do when he meets other dogs, he only needs a couple of minutes round a stranger and he is all over them, and wee people he has just not met at all.
He is the most over friendly big lump you could meet, and I can assure anyone interested in him within a couple of days he would be so settled and ready to learn to socialise.
Did you call that lady June with my No ?

I don't think it is the right place for him Eleanor, the dog she has is getting on in years and not sure how he would cope with Utah. I did have a good think about it, but am worried he could end up looking for yet another home if things go badly. You said that he and Thunder clashed badly when you tried to re-introduce him back home, so it would be a similar situation I feel.
Has Utah had any training whatsoever, have they done anything with him to teach him what behaviours are required from him.

Oh what a shame, I missed this here, I do hope he finds a good home soon x x x

No formal training, he will walk on lead fine and will sit for a treat but not much else, I do want to say though the owners are lovely people, just the wrong breed of dog for them and like us all not realising they were not getting younger as the days go past.

I personally have not met Utah but I know all about him and it seems to me by his behaviour described that he just needs a firm but fair leader. With such a leader he will be able to know his role within and learn to trust and to relax. It would seem at this moment in time that he is confused because he knows he is not an Alpha and he also knows his owners aren't either and so he is trying to find some sort of structure. It is so frustrating for me as I feel I could help him but I just do not have the room or amenities what with having two entire males myself.
However I will and have been doing my level best to find someone for him and will continue to do so. Poor poor mis understood boy .Hugs to him XXX

Karen has suggested we make a heading for dogs looking for a forever home, so that things don't slide to the bottom and get forgotten, a brilliant idea and one I am going to put into place. So will be moving this thread to a new home shortly
