Kaya is looking for a new home

after a long debate and much soul searching, my hubby and I have decided to put Kaya up for adoption. This is through no fault of her own but because of a lack of time to give all our dogs as much time as they deserve.
I have been quite ill recently and coupled with the fact of the usual trying to work and run the home I have had also my elderly dad to look after and he is becoming increasingly dependant.
Kaya has just turned 2 years old and is a total sweetheart. she is totally toilet trained but can live outside too. She doesnt bark but will give the odd yodel if she is playing. which she does often. She is not a fussy eater but enjoys the occasional chicken wing
She has not been speyed, she is obedient in basic commands and is quite good on the lead, she will pull if she is excited. she has never once shown any sign of aggression to anyone, children and adults alike.
She will come with all her paperwork and health test results so far. She has had a clear eye test and heart screen done.

I am so sorry to hear you have had to make such a dreadfully hard decision, I will put the word out my end because I do get people asking me if we ever have any for re-homing.

thank you for the support guys. it has been a really hard decision and one that has been coming for a while. i have just kept putting it off as she is such a loving girl and when she looks up at you with those amazing amber eyes, well...i melt.
but i just have not got enough time on my hands to give each of the dogs the individual attention they deserve.

Oh Mara i wish i had the room as i think she's just gorgeous, will definately ask around and put her on my website.

Are you OK with us putting her up on our individual websites Rhonda??? If it is going to cause any extra grief in addition to what is already being dished out to you I won't put her up, but I do get a lot of enquiries through my site so it could help

as for the grief...well if its the morons from a certain other place you mean then i dont give a rats ass what the say now. they cannot talk about anyone rehoming dogs, they have all done it some for monetory gains and some not.
i am rehoming Kaya for a genuine reason and in my mind for her benefit s well as my other dogs

well everyone,
Kaya is still with us.
Shelley had found someone who wanted her and on the morning she was to go, the girl had a bit of the jitters , wondering if she was doing the right thing, as soon as hubby heard that, he got very upset and announced he just couldnt do it!!!!
He didnt really want to rehome her, she is such a lovely natured dog, and what if this girl took her then a week down the line couldnt cope, she would be rehomed again. or if someone got her and was cruel to her.
So she is staying with us, hubby has promised to help more with the dogs and house etc.
we have enrolled her into obedience classes and I think he is going to enrol her into the P.A.T. scheme too. we just need to be more organised with our time and ensure all the dogs get thier individual time with us and play time together.
thank you everyone for all your help and support on this, you have no idea what it means to us and you are all such a breath of fresh air compared to the last "friends" (and i use that term VERY loosely) we knew.

That is lovely news Rhonda, it is heartbreaking to even have to consider finding a new family for one of your dogs and am so glad you have managed to sort it out and she doesn't have to leave you. Fingers crossed the PAT scheme works as well, something I keep meaning to do, but life keeps getting in the way, I was looking into enrolling Tawney into the scheme, and that was 6 years ago, and still not actually done anything!!!!!
Let us all know how it goes won't you. As for the other 'friends' you mentioned, well if that was the case, then you are certainly better off without them!!!!
